Under One Roof  started providing moving services in Chicago in 1982 by Arthur and Caroline Roof,  hence the name, Under One Roof. Michelle Mathena has owned and operated the business since 2002. We are a 10 year winner of Angie's List's Super Service Award, People Love Us On Yelp Awards, as well as a long time member of the Illinois Movers' and Warehousemen's Association committed to their Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. 

 

We specialize in local moving throughout the Chicago area. In addition to household moving, other specialty services we provide include office moving, packing, hoisting, piano moving, loading/unloading rental trucks and pods. In house estimates are provided free of charge.

 

Our simple pricing consists of an hourly rate which for residence to residence moves includes all materials to safely move items such as tape, shrinkwrap, tools, dollies, speed packs and furniture padding, as well as unlimited wardrobes for use on moving day. A travel charge is determined by how far your furthest location is from our office. For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
