Chicago Movers FAQ

Can I leave clothing in my dresser drawers?

As long as the dresser is sturdy it’s fine to leave your clothing in dresser drawers. Please remove anything that can move around or accidentally fall out during your move such as jewelry etc…

Can I leave items in my file cabinets?

All items from file cabinets should be removed and packed in boxes.

Should I tip my movers?

Tipping is not required, however most people like to thank their movers for a job well done and our crews certainly appreciate being acknowledged for the exceptional service they provide!   A general guideline is $5-$10 per mover per hour, but if you choose to provide a gratuity the amount is completely up to you.

Do you require deposits?

We only require deposits if you take advantage of our special offer of picking up free moving boxes in advance of your move. Otherwise, please let us know immediately if the scheduled date of your move needs to change.

Can I help during my move?

Due to liability reasons we cannot allow anyone on our trucks. We suggest leaving the moving to your professional crew.

Can I ride along in the truck?

Due to liability reasons we cannot allow anyone to ride along in our truck.

Do you accept credit cards?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We also love cash and accept checks as well.

Do you provide clothing wardrobes for my move?

We provide free clothing wardrobe rental on moving day as long as the wardrobes will be returned to us at the end of the day. If we are loading a rental truck, moving your items into a pod, storage or any other move that requires wardrobes to be left with you, you will need to purchase wardrobes if you require them. Each wardrobe holds approximately 2 – 2 ½ feet of clothing. You can pack/unpack them while the crew moves your other items or they will be happy to do it for you.
